Designed for speed on the trail and in the mountains, the Montane VIA Fang 5 is unequalled in performance and construction. The Montane Freelight Chassis has been updated with a lighter weight, more breathable CONTACT Flyte Mesh Air with the addition of POLYGIENE permanent odour control, a first for any trail running pack. Together with its innovative organisation of pockets, including the newly enlarged side stash pockets and clever weight distribution design, the Fang 5 has a unique stretch body fit which provides unrivalled performance when moving fast over rough terrain, making it perfect for training missions or ‘done-in-a-day’ mountain trail runs.

CONSTRUCTION
Main body is constructed from RAPTOR UL fabric, which has an improved strength to weight ratio through the use of Robic filaments

MONTANE FREELIGHT CHASSIS
Montane Freelight Chassis constructed from a new lighter weight, CONTACT Flyte Mesh Air that is faster drying, more breathable, holds less moisture and is skin/shell friendly
Unique to Montane VIA Trail packs, POLYGIENE permanent odour control keeps the Montane Freelight Chassis fresher and odor free for longer
Bound seams on the chassis give stronger, soft touch neater edges
Technically tailored ergonomic Montane Freelight Chassis vest designed for body-hugging load carrying comfort during movement over long distances and whilst running
Front stretch hook and loop lower body adjustment enables chassis to grip the body whilst running and allow for unrestricted breathing during exertion
Chassis elastication also allows the user’s rib cage to expand freely for unrestricted breathing during exertion
Low profile sternum stretch adjustment with adjustable hook and multiple attachment points

HYDRATION
Can accommodate 2 x Montane SoftFlasks 500ml for fast (available here), compressible hydration whilst on the move. These can be compacted when empty for neat space saving in the VIA Fang 5
Right and left top elastic loops for compatible Montane SoftFlask Straw accessory (sold separately), bladder tube or small race map
Internal hydration bladder attachment point in vertical compartment with attachment points for tube on chassis

POCKET CONFIGURATION
Two upper stretch mesh storage pockets on chassis; right hand pocket with security zip
Two lower Montane SoftFlask compatible pockets on chassis; left hand pocket with security zip
New, enlarged stretch mesh storage pockets on either side of the pack harness
Main zipped compartments with expandable sides for race clothing and equipment
